100x Group’s Revenue department is responsible for commercial activities across the group, including those of the BitMEX platform. The team develops financial products for our clients to trade; sources, grows and manages our client base and; works with our global partners to develop new business opportunities.
The Client & Business Development teams are responsible for identifying new business opportunities; the coverage and growth of Corporate and VIP clients; maintaining existing business relationships with our partners in the region; conducting competitive market analysis, and; enhancement of brand recognition across Asia Pacific.
The successful candidate will work as part of those teams, providing support to its team members, focussing on acquiring and growing institutional and sophisticated individual traders as well as expanding the group’s partnership network with other cryptocurrency platforms in the region.
Responsibilities
- Research potential client leads and third party firms not engaged with 100x and aid in origination efforts and building new partnerships. Maintain and track data for those potential clients, partner and affiliate schemes
- Maintain an expert level of understanding of the platform and products so as to provide knowledgeable support to clients and connected partners in the region
- Provide support to the Client Development team by writing up notes for client calls & meetings and ensure the CRM system is kept up to date
- Proactive reporting to the rest of the Client Development team - stay up to date with competitors offerings, where BitMEX stands in terms of product suite, volumes, market share; help identify areas we should be focusing on.
- To collect and analyse relevant data for internal distribution
- Provide the broader team with general support for their daily activities, including producing reports, presentations and general preparation for client meetings
- Assist with the set up and preparation of client events in Asia
Relevant Experience & Required Skills
- The role would suit a candidate at the start of their career in the cryptocurrency industry, coming from an exchange platform, trading firm or infrastructure provider in the sector. Potential for a crossover into the industry from Finance or Consultancy, but beneficial to have personal experience in crypto markets
- Drive to Learn and Collaborate: As a Business Development Analyst, you will have to collaborate with multiple teams across the group. This will often include others from the commercial team as well as colleagues in trading technology, product engineering, product management, communications and senior executives. The role will have a steep learning curve with plenty of scope to innovate and introduce new ideas
- Strong written, visual and verbal communication skills: The ability to speak and write to a high standard is crucial. You will frequently have to interact with clients, present new products and write engaging copy, telling the ‘story’ of products, for various marketing channels.
- English fluency (verbal & written is a must), with fluency in other languages such as Chinese, Korean, or Russian a strong plus
- Research skills: A crucial part of being a Business Development Analyst is gaining insight into the industry and drawing conclusions from that data. Helping to research potential clients and B2B partners, analysing opportunities and structuring solutions is a large part of the role
- Must be curious and passionate about the cryptocurrency market, with a basic knowledge of Cryptocurrency Spot and Futures trading a plus
- Entrepreneurial and resourceful and ability to think outside the box
- Detail orientated and must be a data wrangling and presentation wizard - Google Sheets and Slides, Excel, Powerpoint, etc - to create presentations and reports
- Ability to multitask and handle deadlines
- Must be professional, presentable, and proactive and comfortable with networking
- 1+ years within the crypto market in trading or consultancy role ideal
- University Degree or equivalent or additional relevant industry experience
