Senior Accountant

cLabs is seeking a Senior Accountant to have ownership over accounting-related work in a fast-paced start-up environment. This position will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financials and combining accounting skills with strong written and verbal communication. This position will work cross-functionally with our Finance, Legal, and People teams.

You will:

• Be a critical part of the company’s end-to-end corporate accounting and closing process.
• Work directly with the head of finance in achieving Celo’s mission by supporting financial processes including budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, grant management, and world-class reporting for the Celo community.
• Utilize your technical accounting expertise to provide the following support: 1) Month-end closing; 2) Monthly financials; 3) Monthly expense variance analysis; 4) Consolidation of foreign entities, inter-company transactions and reconciliations.

You have:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance;
• Strong Excel Skills
• At least 3 years of general ledger accounting experience
• Strong organization
• Solutions-oriented team-player
• Excellent written and verbal communications, including ability to work cross-functionally with Legal and People teams
• Experience with Quickbooks
