As a Sales Director at Storj Labs, you will have the opportunity to establish and grow successful customer and partner relationships. This includes the strategic development and execution of plans to meet or exceed revenue targets. As a seasoned sales professional, you know how to refine and mature a sales organization in an early stage startup. Ultimately, we expect that you will build a team to support your efforts. This role will use all of your skills to not only engage with customers and partners, but also to build and develop a high performing sales organization.

Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Storj is a globally-distributed company with employees scattered across 28 cities in 13 countries. Responsibilities:
- Grow customer satisfaction across the assigned region by providing exemplary service and support.
- Understand the target customer's business needs, develop proposals, and accurately articulate Storj's value proposition at the executive level.
- Develop and implement best practices to maximize pipeline creation, customer conversion rates, forecasting accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Success, Engineering, Community/DevRel and Sales Development to accelerate sales cycles.
- Generate new sales opportunities and drive revenue through multiple channels.
- Leading and directing a sales team who are able to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales revenue targets.
- Train, develop, and coach direct reports in product knowledge, time and territory management, and competitive knowledge.
- Provide ongoing feedback and host regularly scheduled performance reviews.
- Provide the product, developer relations, and marketing teams with input on customer needs, use cases, competition, and enablement.
Must Have:
- 7-10 years of enterprise software sales experience with prior sales leadership experience, ideally experience working in the cloud object storage space, or in cloud PaaS or IaaS.
- A thorough knowledge of the PaaS/IaaS selling motion, including types of sales scenarios, as well as associated customer challenges, benefits, and ROI.
- A proven ability to meet or exceed regional sales targets.
- A dedicated focus on building and leading a strong team and a demonstrated ability to drive results through others.
- Strong business acumen and an ability to manage strategic plans with partner and company executives.
- Ability to analyze complex situations and employ creative and effective decision making to solve problems/achieve results.
- Knowledge of accounts and connections within key accounts within the region is considered an asset.
- History of successfully hitting targets and meeting objectives with a SaaS, market-leading technology.
- Demonstrated ability to continuously increase effectiveness and scale of team, recognizing opportunities for creating new systems, structures, and processes.
- Strong knowledge of diverse industry reporting and dashboards.
- Demonstrated experience building a collaborative environment between sales, marketing, product, and finance.
- Experience communicating results and strategizing on sales targets and approach with company leadership.
- A willingness to travel (once traveling is deemed safe) up to 50%, with preference for proximity to a major hub.
- Ability to work on a team spread across multiple timezones.
