We are seeking a Software Engineer - Full Stack to work on systems that facilitate automation, account management, movement of data, quantification of data, and trading. Given the nature of these systems, they must be designed with high integrity, availability and performance as key requirements. Our ideal candidate possesses advanced quantitative and technical skills, and the ability to clearly communicate with internal stakeholders. Success in this role requires the discipline, maturity, and drive to meet deadlines and objectives in a low supervisory distributed environment. You will never be bored.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve our in-house software platforms

Working closely with the development, quantitative, and marketing teams to integrate new features and unique consumer-facing products

Contribute to or lead throughout all phases of the development lifecycle, from conception through design, development, deployment and ultimately operation.

Automate existing and new processes and services to increase stability and efficiency

Participate in code reviews with other members of the software development team

Work with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn our vision into marketable products

Qualifications:

BS or Masters (preferred) degree in Computer science, Engineering, or other directly related areas

Two or more years of professional experience beyond your education (BS or advanced degree), including project responsibility

Work experience or deep knowledge of the crypto currencies, financial markets (derivatives), trading and/or exchange systems

Experience delivering real-time data over the web in a production environment

In-depth competence with two or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, Python, Scala, JavaScript, C/C++, etc.

Deep understanding of and experience with cloud providers (specifically Amazon) with experience codifying, automating and scaling services

Strong familiarity with Node.js, Websockets, and delivering real-time data over the web

Experience with message containers, queues and non-relational databases (e.g. SQS, MongoDB, Kafka, Zookeeper, Redis, pub/sub, and NATS a plus, etc.)

A proven background designing, testing, and deploying scalable data-driven software

Experience keeping track of your work using project tracking tools like Git, Jira, and Confluence

Write well-structured and re-usable code, design experiments and integrate solutions in larger production systems.
