Team & Role Description:

Corporate Development Analyst's mission is to work on deploying Bitso’s capital through different initiatives that optimize the capital structure, improve the performance of our assets and maximize our returns, and enable the company to grow, all while maintaining alignment with the strategic priorities.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the “tribes” and “chapters” (equivalent to business and function leaders, in the “agile” organizational speak) to identify inorganic growth opportunities that could accelerate the company’s growth plans through joint ventures, strategic acquisitions, acquihires, among others.
• Assessment of any opportunities that might arise, working with the appropriate operational team to understand product, infrastructure and cultural fit.
• Research industry and value chain dynamics and landscapes.
• Develop financial models, prepare multiple valuation analyses, monitor and coordinate due diligence processes and prepare materials to present investment opportunities.
• Interact with and / or lead cross-functional teams of internal and external constituents to develop and complete transactions.
• Working together with the operational teams to design integration processes after any potential closing, ensuring value accretion and synergy appropriation post transaction.
• Working with the Financial Planning and Treasury teams to identify areas of opportunity where resources are not being correctly deployed

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• To be a recent graduate from an area such as Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or similar, or have ~1 year of experience in investment banking or M&A, consulting, private equity, corporate development or a related field.
• Must be able to read, write and speak fluently in English.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, as well as critical thinking and problem solving.
• Plan, manage and execute projects with quality and precision.
