Engineering Manager

WHAT WILL YOU DO

• Lead Ava Labs' engineering team to ensure timely delivery of impactful solutions
• Drive engineering team growth and hiring
• Sharpen in-house processes to standardize approaches to code delivery (CI/CD) and deployment/release
• Respond quickly to challenges and feedback, and proactively anticipate needs for different teams and projects
• Balance business needs with technical deadlines to support business growth

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

• Minimum of 8 years of engineering management experience in a SaaS, FinTech, or similar company
• Minimum of 10 years of full-stack engineering experience in a modern, open source cloud environment
• Deep understanding of distributed systems
• Experience managing platform architecture and projects for public facing APIs
• Interest in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space
• Experience with fault tolerant and high availability architecture to lead the build out of cloud platform
• High-level product knowledge of the Avalanche Protocol and what makes it unique
• Familiarity with public key infrastructure protection mechanism, technology and cryptographic protocols
• Strong problem-solving ability and ability to quickly pick up new knowledge
• Ability to nurture and build out the engineering team
• BS, MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Electrical Engineering or a related area
