Software Quality Assurance Manager - Platform & Marketplace

We are looking for a talented and driven Software Quality Assurance Manager - Platform & Marketplace to collaborate with production and development teams to generate and maintain comprehensive technical test plans. The ideal candidate will have previous management experience in a team environment and ideally comes with experience within a high volume transaction and/or e-commerce environment. You must be able to communicate clearly, demonstrate an investigative nature, and be able to assess a situation or a set of conditions and determine a course of action quickly and effectively.

This is a key role that will positively impact customer satisfaction and it is important that the Quality Assurance Manager is capable of designing test plans from a customer experience perspective in addition to validating that feature and reliability requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Assurance testing for the functionality of platform and e-commerce integrations built for Mythical Games titles and the Mythical Games engine.
• Work closely with product owners and development teams to establish clear acceptance criteria and testing plans.
• Manage testing teams (both internally and externally) to ensure quality across all engineering and e-commerce products.
• Develop, enact, and manage testing schedules, ensuring that the QA team meets all sprints and releases leaving no product or major feature untested.
• Diagnose issues, report defects, and propose regression tests to discover reoccurrences.
• Work with production teams and engineers to triage and prioritize issues for resolution.
• Collaborates on and maintains all project-related internal QA test plans.
• Creates accurate build verification reports and technical feature reports daily.
• Develop effective technical test plans to verify proper function, data content, performance, usability/playability, and hardware/software compatibility.
• Establish quality metrics linked to user stories and coordinate with the analytics team to build and strengthen ongoing quality monitoring.
• Assists in forming and improving QA systems and procedures.
• Reviews all issues entered by the test teams and ensures that bug reports include all required information.
• Regularly reviews issues and enhancement logs with engineering and business leadership.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of in-depth QA Engineering experience, and at least 4 years leading a team.
• Wide knowledge of QA principles, processes, and standards.
• Experience with high volume transaction and/or e-commerce solutions.
• Experience testing E-commerce sites (desktop & mobile).
• Familiarity with issue tracking and product management software such as JIRA.
• Experience in Python, Java, C/C++, or equivalent coding languages.
• Familiarity with various QA tools (JIRA, Jenkins, Github Actions, Selenium, PostMan, etc.).
• Familiarity with Git, software versioning, and code repositories.
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD best practices
• Strong leadership qualities.
• Strong understanding of the SDLC.
• Strong documentation and communication skills within a team environment.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Spring and/or React.
• Experience coordinating external vendor teams.
• ISTQB Foundation Level Certification.
