Infrastructure Support Specialist

What you’ll be working on:

• You will be the primary technical liaison for multiple trading groups focused on ensuring proper flow of communication between trading and IT, setting and adhering to SLAs, as well as partnering closely with IT to deliver technical solutions.
• Overseeing and managing a large workstation and hardware fleet
• Coordinating trading group support tasks with other internal support teams
• Monitoring and escalating critical incidents while keeping trading desks up to date
• Create and analyze monitoring data such as logging and metrics to improve system performance and reliability
• Looking for ways to continuously improve our infrastructure and processes through automation and scripting
• Reviewing and refining documentation about processes and procedures

Knowledge & Experience:

• Must have at least 5 years of experience in similar role (infrastructure, support, systems administration…)
• Previous Windows and Linux support experience
• Experience with scripting (PowerShell or Python is a plus)
• Experience with monitoring tools like PRTG, Nagios, Prometheus, SolarWinds, etc
• Experience with log aggregation tools like Kibana, Splunk, etc
• Experience with monitoring dashboards like InfluxDB and Grafana
• Experience with Git, Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Understanding of Networking and Infrastructure concepts
• Previous experience in a financial / trading firm is a strong asset
