Trading System Engineer

We are looking for a Trading Engineer who is passionate about building systems, automations and optimizations that deliver repeatability, reliability and reduce TCO. At Wintermute you will have an opportunity to grow and make direct impact on trading by automating standard trading functions. You will work very closely with traders to understand how they work and will design and implement solutions that will be used by traders while also being robust and scalable from the technology point of view. You will work closely with other developers to ensure that the systems meet production risk objectives.

You will get a lot of independence and responsibility right away, while getting advice and guidance from experienced developers and traders. No legacy systems, no corporate bureaucracy, no multiple levels of approvals. It is up to you to make an impact. It is a real challenge and a rare opportunity to make a real difference!

We are open to experience from both personal and work-related projects. Interest in algorithmic trading is a plus.

What will you work on
This role will involve automating several crucial trading processes in Python. A great advantage of this position is that it is varied, and it is also up to you to shape it in the direction that matches your talents and company needs. We will share more technical details in the interviews. You will work very closely with traders and trading platform developers. You’ll have an opportunity to improve your knowledge of automating complex and key processes, you’ll understand broader system architecture and algorithmic crypto currency trading.

Hard Skills requirements

• Experience automating tasks in Python 3
• Familiarity with Linux, on desktops and servers
• Experience using SQL based databases
• Understanding of git or any other source versioning systems
• Quantitative/reasoning skills
