Product Design Lead

We’re looking for a Senior UX/Product Design Lead to join our Product team!
At Republic, design is king. From day 1, our co-founders were developing the product with user experience as the core pillar and differentiator. We have already established ourselves as the leader in our field in product and design. We are looking for someone to carry the torch forward.

As Republic’s Design Lead, you will create an intuitive experience for our one million users. You will work closely with Business, Product Management and Engineering teams to design frictionless, delightful, sexy and sticky products, brick by brick building the investment bank of the future. This role will report directly to Republic’s co-founder and Chief Creative Officer.

What you'll do:

• Ensure stellar and consistent UX across all Republic (web, mobile and offline)
• Guide the Republic team in adapting the mindset that UX is everything
• Lead various stages of product design, including ideation, sketches, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and animations
• Keep an eye on the deal pages — we’ll count on you to not let anything subpar appear on Republic.

Where you'll grow over time:

• Art-direct all graphic and UI designers
• Own the design function at the company
• Evolve Republic’s visual brand

Our ideal candidate:

• 8+ years of strong UX and UI design experience
• Strong Branding and Graphic design experienceUX/UI
• Design experience for mobile
• Experience leading product design at a consumer company (ideally a marketplace)
• Experience working in a consumer startup at growth stages
• Track record of designing complex products (dashboards, tables) as well as delightful, engaging user flows.
• Impeccable visual taste (Feel free to include a link to your Pinterest, Dribble or other visual scrapboard)
• Founder experience is a plus
• Fluent English (but we’ll consider all candidates)
