Senior Compliance Specialist

We are looking for a Senior Compliance Specialist to join a young, fast growing team at the heart of the digital asset / Blockchain technology ecosystem. Preferred candidates should have 5-7 years experience in a compliance or risk management related role at a mid /senior level in traditional financial services, or at a FinTech or other relevant industry.

Experience developing key compliance functions at another crypto asset services business, or fast-growing challenger bank / payments tech who can lead, design and implement a broad based compliance program is important.

The person will play a key role in helping the business build and scale a globally sustainable, long-term compliance focused culture. They will have a rigorous, thorough and pragmatic approach to compliance, and be excited to use that skill set to help Blockchain.com shape financial services for the future.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Working closely with the Head of Compliance and different business functions to introduce monitoring and assurance plans
• Working closely with the legal team on matters related to regulatory filings across different jurisdictions
• Working with the financial crime team on refreshing risk assessments for Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, and Sanctions
• Assisting the DPO with assurance and compliance programs related to Global Privacy Laws
• Conduct training and quality assurance on internal compliance operations and key vendors
• Engagement with regulators and key banking partners
• Working with our General Counsel and Legal teams on regulatory compliance
• Generally assisting the Head of Compliance in scaling oversight and introducing key control functions

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• 6+ years experience in a senior position at a Compliance function at a financial institution or FinTech
• Knowledge of 5MLD, and BSA Money Laundering Regulations
• Knowledge of Data privacy or other financial regulations desirable
• Familiarity with the FCA UK Handbook
• Analytical, Organised, Good people skills
• Demonstrable interest in Fintech along with at least basic knowledge and understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies
