Director of Product

We are looking for a Product leader to join our product-engineering organisation who believes in a customer-centric approach to product development. We believe that the fastest route to great products is to involve the customer in every stage of the process, enabling us to fail quickly and cheaply so that we can afford to fail often. We want a leader who will nurture customer relationships through transparent and clear communication. We are looking for somebody who always tackles the biggest risk first, who falls in love with problems, not solutions, who makes decisions with data, and who sees the engineering team as the essential partner for creative problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

• Create world-leading cryptocurrency data analytics products which meet our business goals.
• Live, embed, and enable the Elliptic values.
• Be responsible for guiding products throughout the full execution cycle, including researching, analysing, designing, building, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our customers.
• Implement and maintain excellent product processes for planning, user research, market research, data collection and analysis, and asynchronous communication.
• Manage and build a team of product managers and UX designers to deliver products which achieve business objectives, coaching and empowering them to autonomously make product decisions.
• Deeply understand the needs of our customers and the emerging trends in our rapidly evolving industry through frequent contact with customers, prospects, and other stakeholders.
• Build a scalable and sustainable user research program.
• Make decisions based on data, and communicate decisions clearly to the company.
• Work with the CPTO to establish a shared vision across Elliptic by building consensus between commercial and technical stakeholders on priorities that lead to product execution.
• Partner closely with engineering leadership, discussing and making architecture and product decisions together.

Requirements

• You’ve led and mentored product managers, engineers, and designers in how to work together to build great products.
• 10+ years of experience in Product Management or Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience building Enterprise SaaS or data products.
• 2+ years of experience in Product Management leadership with direct reports under your guidance.
• Experience building product plans from a business strategy, and executing the plan from conception to successfully solving the problem, driving product vision, defining a go-to-market strategy which meets commercial goals, and leading design discussions.

Preferences

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify patterns and distill disparate data into coherent insights.
• Strong written and verbal organisational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to lead and influence through persuasion, patience, and energy.
• Experience in one or more of the following industries: data analytics, cryptocurrency or blockchain, compliance, financial crime.
• Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Customer Support, Finance, or Marketing.
