Senior QA Engineer

Fully-remote position (w/ future option to visit offices)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• As the first-ever dedicated QA resource at Ava Labs, you will have the opportunity to work independently to build up good practices for Ava Labs.
• Maintaining a high bar of quality for the avalanchego blockchain client and numerous pieces of infrastructure built on the Avalanche network
• Owning the testing of major features, working closely with different disciplines across the company.
• Building test plans for new features and improvising on existing test plans for feature updates and customer feedback
• Executing tests on our weekly beta release candidates for composing tests for new release candidates of the avalanchego blockchain client
• Owning features through inception, design feedback, implementation, and launch
• Collaborating with Product Designers, Product Managers, Backend Engineers, Data Engineers and Customer Support

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Strong quality sense and experience working closely with mobile, web, and back-end/ platform development teams
• Excellent communication skills and passion for tough technical problemsAttention to detail and voice of customer experience
• Experience automating end to end UI tests for mobile and web apps
• Experience in championing customer feedback post-launch and bringing it to the attention of relevant teams
• Effective communicator and team player
• Self-starter, proactive and nimble
• Interest in blockchain, DLT, and cryptocurrencies
• Familiarity with linux-based operating systems
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience

• Understanding of the importance of test plans and how to approach writing informative bug reports
