About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting group. In this role you will help prepare SEC filings (10-Qs, 10-Ks, and other periodic and current reports), draft financial statements and related disclosures, and support technical accounting research and documentation. You will help maintain fully tied-out filings, support the disclosure checklist process, and partner across Finance and the broader organization to deliver high-quality reporting. The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, disciplined, and an outstanding project manager who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and other periodic and current reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with SEC rules and US GAAP.
  • Prepare financial statements, footnote disclosures, Management's Discussion & Analysis (MD&A), and assist in tying out the earnings releases to ensure internal consistency.
  • Build and maintain fully tied-out 10-Qs and 10-Ks, including supporting schedules, workpapers, and cross-references that reconcile to the underlying financial records.
  • Prepare and maintain US GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists to ensure all required disclosures are complete and accurate.
  • Perform technical accounting research and draft technical accounting memos to document positions on new transactions, standards, and complex accounting matters.
  • Assist with managing the SEC reporting calendar and filing timeline, helping coordinate deliverables, internal reviews, and deadlines across stakeholders — a strong project management discipline is essential.
  • Use Workiva to prepare, link, and roll forward financial statements and filings, maintaining data integrity across documents.
  • If necessary and on an as-needed basis, support the monthly and quarterly close process, including account reconciliations and analyses, in coordination with the broader accounting team.
  • Partner with external auditors and internal stakeholders to support quarterly reviews and the annual audit, preparing requested schedules and documentation.
  • Monitor new accounting pronouncements and SEC rule changes, assess their impact, and help implement required changes.
  • Assist with the design, documentation, and execution of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR / SOX) related to the reporting process.
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation across the reporting and close workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Active CPA license (required).
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in SEC reporting and/or technical accounting, in public accounting (audit) and/or industry.
  • Hands-on experience preparing financial statements, MD&A, and earnings releases.
  • Experience preparing US GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists.
  • Hands-on experience with Workiva.
  • Demonstrated experience writing technical accounting memos and performing technical accounting research.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills — able to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines simultaneously with minimal oversight. (Must-have.)
  • Disciplined, hardworking, detail-oriented, and highly professional, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
