Facebook seeks a Public Policy Manager for our new Blockchain initiative to lead policy development for the global public policy team. The successful candidate will work closely with and support a cross-functional team working on the new initiative. The ideal candidate will have expertise in emerging blockchain, data protection, digital identity, cryptocurrency, and related policy issues, as well as experience working on technology policy issues generally.
This role is full-time position and will be located at our headquarters in Menlo Park, California or in our Washington, DC office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, monitor, and analyze policy issues.
- Advise Facebook business, product, and regional policy teams on policy matters as inputs to the development of our products and policy positions.
- Execute our policy strategy, working with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Represent Facebook in meetings with key external stakeholders.
- Communicate Facebook’s positions in public presentations on related topics.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree in Public Policy, Law, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of public policy experience
- Analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional management experience
- Project management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of blockchain-related policy experience
- International policy experience
- Advanced degree in Public Policy, Law, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience in technology-related policy issues
