Senior Product Designer

Solana is a high performance blockchain that can enable growing decentralized applications and systems to scale without sacrificing security. To be successful in this role,

You will:

• Lead design projects end-to-end, working collaboratively with internal teams and ecosystem partners. Facilitate alignment and gather input from key stakeholders.
• Work closely with a PM to bring products from concept to launch.
• Work closely with engineering to deliver high quality products and experiences, by providing detailed design specs that can be quickly interpreted and coded.
• Conduct research and generate insights. Run surveys and build prototypes that test divergent design concepts within project cycles and that inform foundational product, design, and marketing strategy.
• Contribute to the evolution of our design system (through creating a consistent, cohesive visual language across all user touchpoints).
• Become an expert on the key archetypes in the Solana ecosystem, championing their needs and magnifying their voice.
• Collaborate with product managers to shape roadmaps through strategic decision making and user experience.
  
  

You have:

• Ideally have 4+ years of product design experience, end-to-end.
• Experience designing for mobile and web.
• User research and insights experience.
• A structured human-centered design process that starts with problems and needs before jumping into the solutions.
• A portfolio demonstrating a strong background in UX, interaction, and visual design.
• Experience using industry standard design tools, such as Figma, Sketch, Framer, or Adobe Suite.
• Advanced understanding of CSS, including responsive layout and cross-platform browser compatibility.
• A firm understanding of W3C Accessibility standards.
• A basic understanding of front end programming and experience with GitHub and Asana (actual front-end development experience is definitely a plus!)

• Excited to become a domain expert in the blockchain space, specifically around the needs of our archetypes including validators, developers, crypto enthusiasts, retail investors, and the general public.
• Adept at defining the problem before moving into solutions, gathering input from industry trends, competitors, user pain points, internal/external stakeholders and qualitative/quantitative data from Solana’s various products.
