Director of Product Management (Remote)

Reporting into our CEO, the Director of Product Management will be responsible for driving the product roadmap of the Polymesh blockchain integration into banking and capital markets systems, taking a user-centric approach to delivering world-class products and end-to-end experiences. This is a highly strategic, data-driven role that involves intimate collaboration with key stakeholders (users - including banks and institutions, engineering, and design team) in an extremely agile environment.

Responsibilities:

Proven success driving product development from concept to online offering:

  • Work with opportunities in key vertical markets defined by Polymath to define the end-to-end product offering.
  • Define product strategy, pricing model, and roadmap, and regularly update the senior leadership team.
  • Gather and organize requirements through customer feedback, bug bash, and demos and produce plans to continuously improve metrics (monthly/quarterly/annually).
  • Analyze product data daily and recommend new systems, procedures, or product changes to the Product Management Team to improve efficiency as needed.
  • Stay abreast of security token regulation and its impact on product.
  • Develop competitive matrix

Deliver project outcomes on-time and on-budget in close collaboration with key stakeholders:

  • Develop and update Product Description with latest features description and unique value propositions.
  • Promote product perspectives within various teams and serve as the glue binding various stakeholders to a common goal.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to define the Execution Schedule and keep updated daily/weekly.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing ensuring the product positioning and messaging resonates in the marketplace
  • Work with the finance team to ensure the pricing economics adhere to the company financial objectives.
  • Work with the Director of Engineering to ensure roadmaps and processes are transparent and collaborative.
  • Define and track weekly key success metrics.

Provide coaching/motivation/organization to project teams:

  • Champion the insight of our customers and market
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where creative ideas can be constructed, tested and adopted.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as Product Manager/Owner in B2B, SaaS environments.
  • 5+ years practical experience in the Financial Markets with specific emphasis on middle and back office processes (securities lending, KYC/KYB, onboarding, listing, clearing, settlement etc.).
  • Understanding of the various participants (exchanges, broker-dealers, regulators, custodians, investors, institutions etc.) and their role in the Securities ecosystem.
  • Thorough knowledge of SDLC, Agile development principles and operating JIRA/equivalent ticket management software.
  • Excellence in the following key areas: Organization, Communication, Leadership, and Collaboration.
  • Experience working with highly distributed Engineering
  • Data analysis- experience making data-driven product decisions.
  • Process-oriented with a clear and structured method to your madness.
  • An appetite for software design tempered with an understanding of practical trade-offs in development (lean, MVP).
  • Self-starter and comfortable in a very fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills with an ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and succinctly to various stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

  • Practical experience in blockchain (consensus protocols, tokenomics, blockchain constituents and ecosystem, etc.).
  • Understanding of blockchain including consensus protocols (Proof of Stake) and tokenomics
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field
  • CSPO, CPM, PMI-ACP, PMP or other relevant certification
  • Knowledge on the regulatory environment of security tokens
  • Previous design, development, and architecture of complex web apps and large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience with or keen interest in blockchain
  • Involved in the open source community
