Alchemy is integrating distributed protocols into our developer platform. As our first research scientist, you will be guiding the design and integration of protocols by solving problems related to incentive mechanisms, liquidity, pricing, governance, and network mechanics in the context of a decentralized ecosystem. You will work with a core team of engineers to architect and build protocols on Ethereum, and fine-tune their parameters as protocols mature.
Responsibilities
- Research and develop incentive systems and rules that encourage participation and foster long-term stability and growth of protocols
- Model and simulate the dynamics of systems and protocol designs under various conditions
- Study and optimize existing service protocols
- Work with product and engineering on research implementation
- Collaborate with other researchers in the space
- Contribute to white papers and other publications to introduce our protocol and present our research
What We're Looking For
- Expertise (PhD or relevant experience) in computer science, economics, network science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field with relevant research experience
- Strong knowledge of blockchain technology and cryptoeconomic protocols
- Experience in contributing to research communities and/or efforts, including publications in relevant journals or conferences
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
