Requirements

  • 5 years work experience including specific experience in Privacy regulations including GDPR, CCPA or other regulatory systems.
  • Experience in Financial services or consumer technology services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience working with global teams, including oversight of external service providers.
  • Ability to design and document policies, procedures and controls to address regulatory requirements.
  • Project management experience.
  • Demonstrated interest in cryptocurrency and decentralized finance preferred.

You will be Responsible for:

Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Maintain subject matter expertise in privacy and data protection laws (including US state and federal consumer protection laws, the CCPA, GDPR and other global privacy and data protection laws).
  • Advise TrustToken’s Business Development, Engineering, IT & Security and Compliance and Customer Support departments on the application of global privacy regulations to: New product development, Designing and enterprise-wide data protection, privacy framework and Company responses to regulatory obligations.
  • Provide first-line monitoring of new and emerging consumer privacy regulations and advise the TrustToken Legal team on evolving regulatory requirements.

Project Management:

  • Possess outstanding communication and project management skills to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide data protection and privacy compliance framework.
  • Lead the cross-department effort to design and implement appropriate policies, procedures and controls designed to comply with applicable privacy regulations, including the adoption of privacy-specific technologies within the organization’s broader IT/Security framework.
  • Manage the relationship with outside data privacy legal and technology advisors, including developing and administering a project roadmap with TrustToken’s outside data privacy counsel.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets and deliverables to push implementation of the privacy framework and associated policies and procedures within the first year of your employment.
  • Lead any required change management projects related to update the privacy framework based on new regulations or lines of business.
  • Ongoing Compliance, Risk, and Audit Oversight.
  • Engage in all necessary activities required to maintain the privacy framework and related processes and controls.
  • Perform the full life cycle management of initiatives designed to build and maintain a mature Global Privacy Program; Monitoring, measuring the performance and upward reporting about the ongoing privacy program, including the performance of first and second line of defense activities.
  • Test the effectiveness of the privacy program on a regular basis and lead responses to the requests of independent auditors and government agencies in collaboration with the Legal and Compliance Departments.
