Senior Software Engineer - Go Developer

Axoni is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who will be responsible for software development on our existing blockchain platform. The tech stack includes Go, Kafka, Postgres, Docker and more. We are looking for motivated individuals who are able to pick things up quickly and we will be training the individual in this role. There will be a heavy emphasis on clean software development and maintainability of our systems. This role will periodically interface with clients, especially to dig into complex technical implementation questions around the system. It’s a great opportunity for a developer looking to get hands-on with a blockchain actively used by the largest global financial institutions!

This position will report into our Director of Engineering.

You Will:

• Write code, primarily in Go, to enhance our Ethereum-based blockchain
• Build and implement a robust, reusable, and maintainable system
• Run, own, and enhance our delivery and release process
• Collaborate with our internal stakeholders to address our end user needs
• Enhance our support and production engineers as level 3 on-call support to debug issues for our customers
• Interface with clients to answer technical questions regarding low-level implementation of our systems with a goal of improving our systems’ non-functional requirements
• Collaborate with other engineers to maintain a high bar for quality and security in a fast-paced, iterative environment

You Are:

• Curious about solving problems over specific tools or technologies
• A quick learner who is always growing and hungry for new knowledge and skill sharing
• Able to work independently and move things forward with some ambiguity, but feel comfortable asking for help

You Have:

• 5+ years of professional programming experience on production-grade applications
• Experience with Go or a similar compiled language
• Familiarity with our toolkit (Kafka, Postgres, AWS, Docker are most important)
• An understanding of blockchains and DLTs and are well-versed in the technical concepts

Nice to Haves:

• Strong interest in the future of blockchain, fintech, and financial markets
• Familiarity with DevOps, RocksDB, EVM (C++, cgo), or Solidity

Axoni’s Production Support members are responsible for Level one support for the Axoni Platform and our clients. The team will be the first line of defense. The role requires good problem solving skills and ability to work on multiple concurrent requests and issues.
