UI/UX Designer

IO Global is searching for a UI/UX Designer to turn software into easy-to-use products for clients. You will be responsible for gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements, and building navigation components. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools. If you also have a portfolio of professional design projects that includes work with web/mobile applications, we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, you’ll create functional and appealing features that address our needs and help us grow our customer base.

Your mission

• Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and engineers
• Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps
• Designing graphic user interface elements such as menus, tabs, and widgets
• Building page navigation buttons and search fields
• Developing UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look
• Creating original graphic designs (eg.images, sketches, and tables)
• Preparing and presenting rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems (eg responsiveness)
• Conducting layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Adhering to style standards on fonts, colors, and images.

Requirements

Your expertise

• BSc/BA in design, computer science, or relevant field
• Experience as a UI/UX designer or similar
• Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD)
• Proficient in the most up-to-date design programs such as Sketch and Figma
• Basic knowledge of blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies
• Ability to come up with original designs that align to project goals under creative direction from seniors
• Ability to articulate and present the process and logic behind design decisions
• Having an understanding of how design choices scale to the content and fit within larger design systems and patterns
• Ability to develop journey maps, service blueprints, and user flows
• Ability to participate in and contribute to design workshops with internal and external stakeholders
• Fluent in designing for responsive web and mobile with an eye for patterns, typography, colors, and interaction design best practices
• Experience working within established brand guidelines and design style guides
• Experience specking designs before handing them off to developers, to explain functionality, interaction, and edge cases
• Capable of playing an active role in brainstorming and idea generation with team and senior members of creative
• Ability to craft and conduct user testing, and then synthesizing results to drive design decisions
• Ability to distill complex asks into clear, elegant, and focused designs
• Outstanding digital portfolio across a wide range of channels – live projects and conceptual.
