As part of the C Labs organization in San Francisco, we are looking for a Community Manager to support the larger team. The ideal candidate thrives when handling multiple, important tasks at once (with an attention to detail) while working in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both externally and internally, the candidate provides constructive feedback and input, and takes the initiative to get things done.

Candidates should bring a positive, go-getter attitude to the office with an earnest inclination to offer help before being asked. A creative mindset will be a huge asset in this role as there are opportunities to optimize current processes as well as encourage engagement and build culture within the organization and surrounding Celo community.

You will:

  • Liaise with building management and operational vendors to ensure a functional, welcoming and productive work space
  • Create and hosts community programs and events to drive connection in line with Celo’s brand to encourage cross-functional collaboration and in partnership with team members and the larger community
  • Greet and meet with all of the members utilizing the office space and will help our companies and their employees to resolve any issues to ensure their satisfaction
  • Work closely with our finance, security and people teams to support the San Francisco office in on-boarding, expenses, and accounting
  • Lead and contribute to initiatives related to building and supporting a culture of collaboration, wellness, and health
  • Support the San Francisco (and other) offices as a strategist, consultant and implementer and share best practices across all Celo offices worldwide
  • Assume day-to-day responsibility for projects and tasks (internal and external operations, operational support, team management, meeting prep, travel support of the team, again working together with the SF roles in the respective fields)

You are:

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Passion and experience in preparing, coordinating and attending local events
  • A team player with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Quick learner
  • Extremely proactive and organized
  • Experience building personal connections
  • Comfortable synthesizing data and making sound, actionable recommendations
  • Flexible and comfortable with the changing priorities that come in a startup environment
  • Someone with a strong level of independence, autonomy and efficiency
  • Reliable and held to the utmost confidentiality

You have:

  • A passion for our mission and this role
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Fluency in Google Suite: GMail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Drive, Google Forms
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, project management, and business operations experience.
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced startup
  • Demonstrated integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and compassion in previous roles
  • A growth mindset and likes challenges, and embraces change in a fast-paced environment.
