Product Design Manager - Remote

We’re looking for an experienced design manager to join our Design team. You will have the chance to help build, coach, and mentor a quickly growing and highly skilled group of designers. What you will be doing:

• Manage a quickly growing and business-critical design team
• Manage a team of designers working on a core Tendermint product to solve some of the most cutting-edge design problems in the crypto industry
• Grow the team to meet business demands and employee development needs
• Report to our Director of Design to determine design direction and manage resourcing of projects
• Collaborate with Product leadership to determine requirements and priorities
• Inspire, motivate, and lead designers across experience levels to do the best work of their career
• Work closely with our Product, Engineering, Growth teams, and senior leadership to deliver stunning and effective work

We're looking for someone who has:

• 4+ years of people management experience
• Experience managing a team of product designers
• A passion for developing designers’ skills and careers
• Demonstrated excellence at motivating and inspiring people to do their best work
• Experience recruiting and building product design teams
• A relentless focus on the customer experience
• Flawless written and spoken communication skills
• Enthusiasm to build crypto experiences for a mainstream audience
• A creative and curious mind with great design aesthetics and a comprehensive understanding of the required steps in the creative process
