Technical Product Manager - Deployment Operations

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to take ownership of the deployment and operational aspects of the Corda platform.

Responsibilities

• Research customer (operator) needs and pains, define and implement operational improvements & features towards a target operational experience.
• Develop a clear operational experience strategy based on customer needs to make operating Corda software a state-of-the-art experience for enterprise.
• Work in partnership with the Platform engineering team to define priorities and themes, ordinate releases and define features and capabilities necessary to meet your objectives, see through their delivery & manage the ongoing improvements post launch.
• Maintain knowledge of competitors’ product offerings and identify market opportunities and gaps in the R3 offerings to ensure that your products remain competitive and differentiated.
• Represent the platform to sales, customers and the market.

What you’ll bring

• Experience in managing/optimising infrastructure software footprint and the total cost of ownership of enterprise solutions.
• Experience delivering products using containers and orchestration. (Docker & Kubernetes)
• Demonstrable track record in building and deploying enterprise software into enterprise operations/devops environments – including clear understanding of the key requirements of Enterprise operations/devops functions. (monitoring, security, availability, recovery, … )
• An entrepreneurial mindset. You must be comfortable rolling up your sleeves, thriving in ambiguity, take ownership and make clear, consistent decisions in the face of complexity and uncertainty to get the work done.
• Ability to think big and small - you should be comfortable defining a completely new experience or optimizing an existing feature.
• Knowledge of enterprise application development market and products with an appreciation of operational practices, business functionalities and competitive landscape.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues simply and convincingly to a wide range of audiences (internal or external)
• Experience and proven success in delivering software products to market in an agile software development environment.
• BSc in computer science or engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 6-10 years of relevant work experience in enterprise or related software.
• 5+ years of experience in Product Management or related role.

Nice to Have

• Hands on development experience in a devops function prior to move to PM
• Familiarity with open-source product & practices.
• Experience of distributed systems.
• Hands on experience as operator of enterprise software.
• Experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
• Interest in Blockchain technology.
