UX Designer

We are looking for talented Junior to Senior level UX Designers.

Regardless of experience level, you will be an innovator and problem solver at heart; ideally with a keen appreciation of blockchain or DLT and the exciting new opportunities that these technologies bring to Web3.

You will have a high standard of work already under your belt looking to take the next career move up. Importantly, you will have helped ship complex products that are demonstrated in your portfolio.

Working with the wider IOTA Design Team, you will act as a user advocate alongside other UX colleagues, providing clear input for the overall customer and user experience of these new products and services.

Ultimately, you’re a design thinker with a high level of empathy; able to provide a solid rationale behind any product decisions. A key part of this role is cutting-edge problem-solving in the new Web3 frontier, so be prepared for an enjoyable challenge!

Responsibilities:

• Research, assess, sketch, prototype
• Design websites, landing pages, and mobile/desktop web applications on multiple projects of varying sizes
• Help to plan and undertake UX research such as competitor analysis, information architecture design, interaction design, personas, usability testing
• Produce scenarios, flowcharts and wireframes, turning them into fully-fledged UI designs by either yourself or handing over your direction to the visual design team for completion
• Adhere to current in-house styles or to help define new interaction patterns and design systems
• Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually
• Have a high level of detail for UX design and product quality
• Support the IOTA UX / Design Team in any other organizational-wide efforts when required

Requirements

Your Personality

• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Naturally curious with a passion for new technology
• Strong self-management with a friendly approach
• Must be able to function as a close collaborator or equally as an individual contributor
• Be open to productive feedback discussions without personal attachment

Your Expertise

• At least 2+ years of industry placement
• Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and best practices
• Expert proficiency with design and prototyping tools ideally either with Axure (Wireframing, IA and Prototyping) and/or Figma (Visual Design, Prototyping) in order to integrate with the IOTA Design Team and help deliver your projects
• Knowledge of web & mobile platforms, and their capabilities/limitations. Basic HTML, CSS and JS knowledge is a bonus in order to understand the challenges of development
• High written and spoken proficiency of English
• Proven track record of project deliverables
