Director, Capital Formation

Pantera Capital, a blockchain focused investment firm is seeking a Director for the Capital Formation group. The position is responsible for helping raise capital for the firm’s funds and managing investor relationships. The role will be focused on marketing our funds through the entire marketing process, including digital marketing, meeting and discussing our funds with engaged prospects and overseeing data collection and management of the firm's existing and potential investors.

Responsibilities:

• Market funds to accredited and institutional investors
• Have a full understanding of our marketing process and how to best allocate resources
• Excellent sales pipeline management and track record of closing all types of investors, including institutions
• Assist the Head of Capital Formation in managing the responsibilities of the Capital Formation staff to get most out of the group
• Understand and help enhance Pantera's full digital marketing process
• Contribute to the data collection process to make sure data is accurate and captured in a timely manner
• Strategize with management and internal staff to increase engagement and improve marketing processes

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of business experience, including 2+ years in investment banking, private equity, venture or hedge funds
• Strong communication skills with a history of success in cultivating strong internal and external relationships and collaborating cross-functionally within a complex investment management firm
• Strong business acumen, coupled with strategic analysis experience
• Solid understanding of private equity, venture capital and hedge funds with experience discussing investment strategies, complex fund structures and operational aspects on an investment management firm
• Experience working in a small group at an investment management firm, preferably related to investor relations, marketing and investor communications
• Solid knowledge of digital marketing platforms and data management systems to increase efficiencies
• High degree of intellectual curiosity with exceptional work ethic, attention-to-detail and can-do/will-do attitude
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and exceptional PowerPoint/presentation-building skills
• Degree from top school and/or other relevant professional accreditation
