Business Analyst - Finance

The Accounting and Finance team is hiring to support our rapid-growth. Wyre has a start-up culture and members of our team are expected to wear many hats, be resourceful and mentaly agile. The main responsibilities for this role include but they are not limited to assisting with modeling, projections, and deep analysis of revenue and expenses and finding ways to deliver better results more affordably.

This role reports to the VP of finance.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and analyzes a variety of financial and accounting data. Recommends actions that may be taken to improve financial results.
• Stand-up and manage a set of KPIs for the team
• Create financial models to inform cost efficiencies
• Compiles budgetary and fiscal data received from all departments to prepare and update monthly budgets
• Analyzes records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, to project future revenues and expenses.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience managing projects that required the involvement of different internal and external stakeholders from inception to completion
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and experience juggling multiple priorities at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to details
• Experience building financial models independently and presenting conclusions to senior managers
• Ability to learn new software applications easily
• Ability to work and think independently and as a member of a team
• 3+ years experience in Accounting or Finance
• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets
• Skilled in data analysis and financial modeling
• Knowledge of financial markets and interest in cryptocurrency / fintech applications
• Clear communicator with excellent written English
• Obsession with precise deliverables and documentation

Bonus

• Previous Business Analyst experience at a fintech or payments company
• Understanding of crypto
• SQL queries and perform data analysis preferred

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in a business related field.
