VP of Ecosystem Development

We are looking for an exceptional leader to head Parity’s Ecosystem Development efforts. You will be an integral part of the company's leadership team overseeing the Ecosystem Development department. You and your team will be the driving force behind building out the Polkadot, Kusama, and Substrate ecosystems.

The objectives of Ecosystem Development are to grow the ecosystem across all stakeholders and deliver unparalleled experiences for them with the ultimate goal of positioning Parity’s technologies at the heart of the new decentralized internet. You will work alongside the Marketing and Engineering departments to achieve your goals.

Parity’s Ecosystem Development department is 30+ people strong with ambitious growth targets. The department is organized in multiple sub-teams with respective team leads:

• Developer Relations - building an ecosystem of developers
• Ecosystem Growth - attracting new development teams to the ecosystem
• Ecosystem Success - supporting existing development teams in the ecosystem
• Enterprise Development - building an ecosystem attractive to established organizations & industries
• Delivery Services - providing tech resources to the ecosystem
• Parity China - localizing all efforts above for the Chinese market

Responsibilities

• Ecosystem Vision & Strategy - Define and drive the strategic direction of Parity’s ecosystem efforts across all verticals and stakeholders.

• Execution - Oversee the day-to-day operation of the department and ensure consistent, rapid, and effective execution according to the defined vision and strategy in conjunction with all other Parity teams and departments.

• Team Development - Develop strong teams across all areas of Ecosystem Development by driving hiring, training & mentoring of contributors and leaders in the department.

Requirements

• Lead 20+ people teams in fields related to developer relations, partnerships, ecosystem/business development, or product
• Demonstrated consistent, exceptional performance in senior management positions
• Deep conceptual understanding of blockchain technologies & their related ecosystems
• Ability to present and speak in public to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Founder experience in a technology startup
• Hands-on experience developing crypto products or protocols
• Wide professional network & high reputation in the blockchain space
• Background/experience in computer science/software engineering
• Experience in building blockchain/open-source ecosystems
