Kraken’s legal team works cross-functionally across the company, focusing on key new product initiatives at the bleeding edge intersection of decentralized systems and the law. As a Crypto Research Analyst, you will drive the diligence process for Kraken’s new asset listings, as well as support reviews for new staking services, parachain auctions and other special projects. This role sits within the Legal department - however, no legal training or qualification is required.

This is a fully remote role.


Responsibilitie

  • Conduct technical, corporate, and market-based research on crypto projects in connection with our asset listing process
  • Liaise directly with crypto project teams
  • Communicate your findings to members of Kraken’s Legal team through oral and written reports
  • Analyze primary source material such as whitepapers, Github repos, and block explorers
  • Monitor network progress and developments, including forks, network upgrades, and consensus changes
  • Manage a robust, multi-faceted review pipeline, ensuring deadlines are consistently met
    • Requirements
  • Experience in the crypto industry, or demonstrable passion for and knowledge of crypto-native projects and protocols
  • Strong written and oral communication skills - including the ability to translate complex technical concepts and industry terminology so that people across the organization can understand it
  • Keen attention to detail, and a commitment to quality
  • Project management skills requisite to process multiple projects simultaneously
  • A team player who works collaboratively with various functions across the company
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of work experience
  • Nice to have: meaningful experience with computer science, software engineering, or operating a crypto side project
