What is Crypto Careers and why did we start it?

Hello and welcome to Crypto Careers - the most innovative job board platform focusing exclusively on the booming crypto and blockchain technology industry.

Our platform was conceptualised in the beginning of 2018 and after a few months of research and going through more than 1000 career pages and reading through thousands of job descriptions, we launched in August 2018.

Crypto Careers is a niche career platform for everyone who wants to work in the new crypto economy. Our unique value proposition for job seekers:

Why did we start Crypto Careers?

With Bitcoin and the subsequent growth in the blockchain space, a new technological development is born, that is often said to be as significant as the Internet. The same way that the Internet changed the labor market and the landscape of the job world, the Blockchain Technology movement brings it’s own set of new jobs, roles, responsibilities and requirements that are different than the established industries. Subsequently, both companies looking for talent and job seekers looking to move into the crypto space have very different requirements than other job seekers. Legacy job boards are not suited to fill these needs and although there are a few good niche portals dedicated to blockchain, none of them is solving the core issues for job seekers.

Our team has a rather not typical combination of a decade of experience in building successful international niche job boards and delivering AI services to the HR industry. In parallel, we sit om more than 5 years of experience in the crypto world, the last 2 of them spent heavily in the ICO world, both as advisors, as well as investors. During this time we noticed a few interesting facts that pushed us into the direction of creating Crypto Careers:

• The demand for technical jobs in the crypto world has exploded over the last 12 months. Whereas in the beginning of 2017 you had the occasional Blockchain Developer job, today you have thousands of open positions for developers both into small companies, as well as established players.
• The ICO explosion in 2017 and 2018 has created an extreme demand for qualified specialists. For job seekers, this means that there is no better time to look for a job in the crypto space, because demand is way higher than candidate supply.
• The ICO explosion has not only increased the demand for technical people, but it also created a tremendous amount of roles for non-tech people. For the first time ever, this industry is becoming interesting for people from all areas of the workforce - sales, marketing, customer support, finance and so on. If you want to leave your boring job in an old-economy company, you have a lot of choice today.
• Not only the ICO space has created a lot of new and cool roles - well established companies from the “old economy” are entering the crypto world, building products around the ecosystem and creating new and exciting jobs.
