
Blockchain Companies Are Looking for Remote Workers
In this post, we are going to explore how blockchain, crypto, and distributed ledger technology companies view remote work, what are the most common jobs available for remote workers and check a few interesting statistics.
There is no doubt, that remote work has quite a few advantages:
- Reducing the cost of living by working from a smaller city or a different country;
- Time flexibility and more freedom;
- Better work-life balance;
- Increased productivity;
- Less stress due because of low commute times.
Therefore, it is not surprising that working remotely is one of the biggest trends in employment right now and more and more people are working remotely today than ever. According to Upwork, nearly two-thirds of US companies have employees that work from outside of the office (https://www.upwork.com/blog/2018/03/future-workforce-report-remote-work-mainstream/).
We scrape millions of jobs every day, here is what we found out

We are also the platform that sees the newest jobs per day - on average, more than 200 jobs are posted every week on our platform. This gives us an enormous amount of data that we can use to understand better the recruiting marketing for blockchain specialists. Let's dig in!
Our dataset consists of 3346 jobs from 214 companies, spanning over 16 months (August 2018 - November 2019). From these, 15% (493 Jobs) were advertised as remote.

The six most common categories for remote jobs were:
- Product Management
- UX/UI Design
- Marketing & PR
- Engineering and Tech
- Customer Services
- Community Management

These categories span over 63% of all remote jobs posted in our dataset.
When it comes to the experience required for remote roles, almost half of the advertised jobs (48%) were for mid-level experienced professionals - people with 2-4 years of work experience. Another 31% were roles for senior professionals - 5 or more years of work experience. Still, there were remote offers for all career levels - Internship, Graduates, Project Leads, Managers and Directors / VPs.
In summary, our data suggests that blockchain, cryptocurrency, and distributed ledger technology companies are open to remote workers and embrace this trend in employment.
