We have team members working worldwide in more than 35 countries, from North America and Europe to the Middle East and Asia. We leverage agile methodologies to move quickly and stay focused. Communication is vital to us, and we rely heavily on Slack, Google Workspace, Notion, and GitHub to help us stay in sync. All the technology we build is free and open source.

This role is a full-time remote position, and you’re free to work from anywhere. However, most team meetings occur between 8 am and 12 pm Pacific Time (UTC-8/-7). If you're applying from a location where these hours are outside your usual working hours, we would expect you to adapt to attend our meetings.

About the position:

Tendermint is seeking a talented and motivated Head of Ecosystem Growth to accelerate the growth of the ecosystem to make Starport the standard for launching blockchain-based dApps. You’ll take full ownership of our growth initiatives on the developer acquisition and engagement fronts. You will manage a talented team of 6, with more members to recruit this year. This strategic position reports directly to the VP of Growth, with the opportunity to contribute to the broader strategy for the company.

Your scope will be quite broad and you have the opportunity to continue growing in responsibility over time.


What you will be doing:

  • Build and lead a high-performing team to create and implement strategic growth initiatives across various channels including lead generation, CRM, social media, and video marketing.
  • Increase our product awareness, adoption, and advocacy across various technical audiences, primarily crypto developers.
  • Oversee retention initiatives to ensure developers within our ecosystem are onboarded smoothly, get access to useful resources, and receive the support they need to be successful using our line of products.
  • Use data and analytics for decision making, measure marketing effectiveness, and create a culture of structured experimentation and iteration to drive growth.
  • Manage the developer acquisition budget to drive sustainable bottom-line growth with the goal to fuel our developer acquisition pipeline.
  • Develop a deep familiarity with our product and the technology behind it to ensure that developers understand their functionalities at their full potential.
  • Define, measure, and report the performance of growth actions and assess them against KPI goals

  • What we expect:

  • Strong passion for and understanding of blockchain ecosystems
  • 8+ years of related experience in the blockchain industry or have worked in the ecosystem development or developer marketing in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytic skills: You love analyzing your team’s actions to make data-driven decisions
  • Ability to present and speak in public to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently


  • Nice to have:

  • Experience managing a growth or ecodev team
  • Familiarity with programming languages (Golang preferred)
