We are currently seeking an Account Management Associate to join our rapidly growing team. Account Management Associates apply strategic thinking, business writing, and problem solving abilities, paired with a strong attention to detail, to support our Account Managers. Associates support the dual team goals of delivering an exceptional customer service experience and driving towards successful business outcomes, including maintaining a high renewal rate and achieving significant revenue growth. This role will be responsible for prospecting new opportunities within existing accounts, supporting renewal and upsell conversations, as well as being the first line of support for our customers. This position is designed to foster early-career sales and account management professional skills within talented individuals, acting as a conduit into our high performance sales and account management teams.


Responsibilities

  • Proactively schedule calls with clients via phone and email (including cold calling)
  • Manage outreach campaigns to boost utilization or uncover sales opportunities
  • Educate clients on the value of The Block’s news, research, and data products
  • Partner with Account Managers to create customized plans for territories, with a goal of achieving monthly, quarterly and annual renewal and upsell targets
  • Research current clients to identify new sales opportunities, customize communications strategies, and ensure they are maximizing their use of our extensive products and services.
  • Prospecting with current client base to identify potential cross and up sell opportunities
  • Recruit clients to attend live and online events, such as analyst calls, to showcase the value of The Block membership and follow up on uncovered leads
  • Coordinate internal staff to ensure the right individuals are present to support a client conversation
  • Prepare team members for client meetings by providing relationship background and corporate news and profile
  • Assist in client onboarding such as setting up access and providing online walkthroughs of tools
  • Manage and triage inbound customer support requests in an expedient and professional manner
  • Qualifications
  • 1 year of professional experience, including internship and externship roles
  • An interest in the evolving crypto and digital assets industry
  • Ability to quickly build relationships with senior level professionals and work well under pressure
  • Propensity to ask probing questions to match the prospect's challenges with The Block’s services
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Impeccable time management and organizational skills
  • Adaptable to changing startup environment
  • Ability to manage a busy client pipeline and meeting calendar
  • Collaborative spirit and results-oriented
  • Hit individual goals while staying invested in the team’s larger revenue success
