Head of Product - Cardano

The Cardano blockchain ecosystem is constantly expanding. IO Global is now close to enabling smart contracts and governance on Cardano, so interest among developers and users is growing even more. We are looking for a Head of Product Cardano who will drive and lead the implementation of the vision for Cardano.

In this role, you will work on designing and delivering an excellent user experience across all of Cardano’s products. You will need a strong understanding of the Cardano ecosystem and the industry. Your experience will include a solid blockchain industry background and you will be able to bring confidence and leadership to IOG’s efforts to make Cardano ever more accessible and relevant.

Your mission

You will be responsible for defining the vision for Cardano and rallying the organization around that vision. You will have the ability to influence people and have an impact without direct authority and you will take ownership of end-to-end business scenarios, problem definition, solutions, and technical strategy.

You will define objectives and key results (OKRs) for business performance indicators, and track and report on their progress. In addition, you will define and implement quality of service and service-level agreement metrics for Cardano.

Your duties will include:

• Collaborating with chief product officer to drive strategy, global product vision and goals
• Managing the product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities. Overseeing all product roadmaps based on market research and collaboration with internal and external groups and stakeholders
• Executing roadmap strategies and bringing valuable, highly differentiated and elegantly designed capabilities to market.
• Working with customers and partners to ensure that their needs are addressed in the roadmap and that they are kept apprised of releases and updates
• Conducting market research, surveys and customer/prospect visits to understand and specify requirements for target markets
• Working with prospects to define products and quantify opportunity size
• Working with marketing, design and communications teams to understand industry and community needs to develop a product roadmap. Ensure successful launch and positioning of Cardano offerings
• Analyzing competitive offerings
• Managing the collection, description, analysis and prioritization of requests for product changes from customers, prospects, partners, sales teams, and market forces
• Working with business development teams on evaluating proposals for the roadmap, and with project managers on delivery, planning and scheduling
• Working with product managers, program managers and engineers to ensure that features are delivered in the right sequence and meet expectations in terms of quality, function and schedule
• Leading and empowering the team of product managers working on Cardano
• Helping product managers to define priorities for product development
• Working with engineering and design teams to deliver a captivating, reliable, and easy-to-use experience with an excellent user interface
• Working with other product managers on roadmap integration
• Providing support to sales groups on product selection, presentations and pricing strategy
• Working in an agile product development process to create clear user stories.

Requirements

Your expertise

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a passion for big data
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience in decentralized protocols/blockchain
• At least 10 years’ experience of product management in software companies
• Experience of launching platform-based products
• Experience of launching global services
• Experience with distributed systems, blockchain, and crypto
• Project management experience
• Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
• MBA preferred.
