Gauntlet’s mission is to help make blockchain protocols and smart contracts safer and more trustworthy for users. Building decentralized systems creates new challenges for protocol developers, smart contract developers, and asset holders that are not seen in traditional development and investing. Gauntlet is building a blockchain simulation and testing platform that leverages battle tested techniques from other industries to build financial models of crypto products. Simulation provides transparency and greatly reduces the cost of experimentation so that teams can rapidly design, launch, and scale new decentralized systems.

We partner with protocols to automate risk management with our platform. We’re looking for someone to manage our new and existing partners. We don’t only work with development teams building protocols, we work directly with protocol governance and communities of token holders in DeFi, hence the title - Protocol Politician.

This is not simply a growth role - you will be responsible for managing client deliverables and driving improvement over time. When we onboard a new client on our platform, we assist the client with integrating their protocol. This is an essential part of how we support new customers, build statistically sound models, and most importantly continue to grow our business. Like at any quickly growing start-up, we’re looking for someone who can grow into a leadership role quickly, but is not afraid to get their hands dirty early on.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Gauntlet’s integrations and client relationships
  • Identify and close new partners and customers for Gauntlet
  • Work with clients, client communities, and development teams to manage deliverables, scope and timelines
  • Work cross functionally with key stakeholders, e.g. finance, engineering, etc. to operationalize partnerships, set business goals and coordinate success metrics.
  • Be the voice of the customer internally: Identify issues and work with product, design, and engineering to drive improvements to our product
  • Provide strategic recommendations for expansion opportunities with existing partners that have direct impact on product roadmap and business goals.
  • Negotiate changes to existing agreements in addition to new amendments meant to expand relationship scope.
  • Write content, both for clients and their users, that explains the work we have done

What We Look For:

  • Strong interest and familiarity with Crypto protocols and DeFi products
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good with numbers - should be comfortable with data and data visualization
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects: developing strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, communicating clearly, solving problems, holding difficult conversations and driving towards key milestones / outcomes
  • Deep analytic, prioritization and problem solving skills
