What you might be doing:

  • Responsible for attracting, mentoring, supporting, and retaining a team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts
  • Coach teams and individuals to enhance collaboration
  • Drive the implementation of the roadmap and optimally manage business-related requests
  • Build cross-functional relationships with stakeholders, product owners, other technologists, and users to get a better understanding of business and technical priorities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives by providing valuable insight on business intelligence and analytics best practices

What you might bring:

  • BSc/MSc/PhD in Engineering in Data Science, Computer Science or related subjects
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering/science or related topics and 2+ years of hands-on experience managing a team of engineers, data scientists, and analyst
  • Experience coordinating a team, delivering on a roadmap, and shape different rituals
  • Deep understanding of communication, group dynamics and coaching, and are able to help teams develop trust and safety
  • Proficient English (spoken and written), French is a plus

Nice to have:

  • Working with cloud infrastructure (AWS)
  • Hands on experience with multiple data platforms and tools (eg. S3, Redshift, Airflow)
  • Experienced in Data Modelling, Pipelining, Data Processing Frameworks and Infrastructure
  • Familiarity with data science analysis and modeling packages in Python (including Pandas, Scikit-Learn, NumPy, Matplotlib/Seaborn/some other visualization tool)
